The Hurontario LRT is a light rail project that will bring 18 kilometers of smooth, fast, reliable rapid transit to Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario corridor. The project will mean a doubling of the corridor’s capacity to move people while reducing congestion. The Hurontario LRT will operate on a dedicated lane, avoiding traffic disruptions, significantly improving transit time. The project is an integral part of the regional transportation network and will provide residents and businesses in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area with clean, electrically powered, convenient and integrated transit.
