We want to arrive at the most-informed decisions possible while we plan, build and operate the regional transportation system. This means proactively seeking input from the community, considering it carefully, making the best decisions possible, and reporting back on how and why those decisions were made.
It would be unwise to invest so heavily in designing, constructing, expanding, and operating a state-of-the-art regional transportation system for the GTHA without considering the wide range of views from the very people who will use the system and ultimately pay for it. In this day and age, it simply goes without saying that public input, consulting with individuals and groups on various aspects of planning, construction and operations, will be an essential part of our work at Metrolinx.
Metrolinx is committed to working with you to create thoughtful and meaningful opportunities for public input on big issues (e.g. where to locate future stations) and on smaller questions (e.g. what to name those stations).
