This station would be located in the Greenbelt and would do little to promote intensification and urban development. Spend the money extending the Lakeshore East line into Central Oshawa in accordance with the approved EA.

This potential station is located south of the West Whitby Secondary Plan area (OPA 91 as approved by Region of Durham, July 29, 2014). The plan calls for between 5,000 and 7,000 jobs, a new road system, a fair amount of medium density residential zones, and a few small mixed use nodes. Adjacency to new highway (#?) connecting 401 and 407 adds other transportation options to consider.
