Overview

In October 2019, Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) officially announced Mobilinx is the winning bidder for the future Hazel McCallion Line (also known as the Hurontario light rail transit project), bringing one of the largest infrastructure projects in Ontario to Peel Region.

Neighbourhoods

The Hazel McCallion Line will run from Port Credit GO Station in the city of Mississauga to the Brampton Gateway Terminal at Steeles Avenue.

Along its route, the new LRT will be traversing the traditional territories of many Nations, including the Anishnabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Ojibway and Chippewa peoples and home of Métis. Metrolinx is committed to working with Indigenous Nations to better understand the important histories and rights of the peoples that have and continue to live in this area.

The OMSF is located just south of the 407 on the border of Brampton and Mississauga.

It features:
