Improving the Customer Experience: Light Rail Transit (LRT)

Key accessibility features in all LRT projects include:

  • Tactile guidance tiles in stations and centre platform stops;
  • Enhanced intercoms with hearing induction loops that are accessible for customers who are hard of hearing (all intercoms), and visual display and input devices to support text communication for the benefit of persons who are deaf and non-verbal (at selected locations);
  • Elevator redundancy at interchange stations;
  • Audible and visual next stop announcements;
  • All-door boarding on vehicles.
