1) What is the current schedule for the completion of this project, i.e. when will the first riders be using the LRT. I understand that schedules can be changed. The implication of the slides is that everything will be completed in 2022. Is that correct?

2) Has the testing been generally acceptable or have there been any significant issues

That is correct, the project is currently tracking for completion in 2022, when service operated by TTC can begin.

Train testing is meeting expectations and will continue throughout 2022.

You indicated to another individual that "the project is currently tracking for completion in 2022" Can you please provide a more direct answer for all of us. We as tax payers have spent billions on this project so the least we can expect is a direct answer. Plz answer saying which month the LRT will open. Please answer in this format Month, 2022

Why do you not add platform screen doors to the platforms to protect passengers and objects from trains?
By doing that, You're just making the dangerous on purpose for blind passengers to fall onto tracks because of loss of vision & since the trains will on run Automatic underground, there's more than a 50% chance passengers will fall & be crushed

Service on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will be operated by TTC as Line 5. Frequency of service and operating hours will be determined by the TTC Service Planning department.

The 76 light rail vehicles (LRV) can hold 163 passengers each, and reach a top speed of 80 km/h underground and 60 km/h at street level.

There will be more - road restoration at each station site will include landscaping, new sidewalks and curbs, and cycling infrastructure. The Duplex to Avenue section of the City of Toronto's Eglinton Connects Streetscape and Cycle Track design plan is being implemented by our project's constructors as an example section. The areas between stations will be built by City of Toronto.

Road restoration at Fairbank was completed in November 2021.  The lane reductions are currently in place to facilitate sidewalk and curb restoration works. After this is completed one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained for construction staging and deliveries.  Final asphalt pours are expected to take place in May of 2022 after which all lanes will be reinstated.

The main focus going into spring will be road restoration across Eglinton Avenue. By in mid-2022, you should start to see things looking complete at street level at the majority of locations. That said, areas of construction fencing and periodic road/sidewalk occupation will still be required throughout 2022 as works wrap up.
