Noticed a lot of work done on the guideway between islington and kipling, is there an estimated date for when the traffic will be split in this section? Also, travelling on Islington towards finch (north or south) is always congested, is there an estimated date for when the bridge rehabilitation work will be completed? Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Major rehabilitation work at Humber River Bridge will be completed this year. Some minor works such as sidewalk work will be extended into early next year. The traffic between Islington and Kipling will be split before end of this year.

The project overview shows the track bed at road grade between Kipling and Islington, does this mean a future crosswalk with traffic lights will be added here? Similarly between Jayzel and Weston, the track bed is at road grade, does this mean a future crosswalk with traffic lights will be added here?

All the at grade stops from Romfield Lane to Westmore Drive will have signalized crosswalks at the intersections. As part of FWLRT project, a future intersection between Farr Avenue Bridge and Islington Avenue is considered to connect Thistletown area to the Finch Avenue West. Guideway is flush with road at the intersections.

Prior to the LRT construction, Finch had 3 lanes in each direction from Weston to Jane. The project overview shows that 6 lanes will be maintained in this portion of the road. Could you confirm this?

We anticipate all guideway/track work to be completed in this area by end of this year (2022) barring no unforeseen circumstances.

For the Pearldale stop/station for the Finch West LRT, will the platform be accessible from Milady Road as well? Or does everyone need to walk to Pearldale to get on to the platform? I’m asking this since the distance between Milady and Pearldale is really short.

As part of FWLRT project, the future connection of road 2A to Finch Avenue West is secured but building the road 2A and connection to Finch Avenue West is not part of LRT project and City will be responsible for the road 2A connection.

When will the Finch West LRT be extended from Humber College to the future Woodbine GO? This is a critical link that would help fill a gap in the transit network. Also, it wouldn’t be a very long or complex extension, it would be a quick win!

At this time, the extension between Humber College, Woodbine Station and Pearson Airport is unfunded. However, the project work specific to planning the Regional Transit Centre falls with the GTAA. We recommend that you contact the GTAA directly at [email protected] in regards to planning timelines as they recover from the effects of COVID-19.

The pace of building this line, has been nothing short of amazing. I am still trying to believe this will be fully finished next year 2023, and we are already in June. Track/guideway has been lacking in areas like Martingrove, Albion, Kipling...but it's going to be a sight to see a train going up and down Finch.

How is the interchange with TTC and Miway buses planned at this stop. Currently, looking at the construction, it looks like the stop is adjacent to highway 27 and that is atleast 400 metres from the current humber college bus stop.

Both termini (Finch West and Humber College stations) are underground. How difficult will it be to extend the line? Has room been given in the underground structure for future construction?

I have seen many people illegally board busses and stations. For example people who enter the station through the bus entrance or people entering the back door and pretending to tap or not tap at all. Has Metrolinx considered a preventative measure?

The Ottawa LRT is undergoing a public inquiry and is hearing from Alstom regarding its Citadis Spirit LRV as well as Thales for its train control system. Both of these are going to be used on the Finch LRT line. Will the results of this inquiry have any potential impact on the construction and/or operation on Finch?
